U.A.E. HVAC Market Analysis
The U.A.E. HVAC market is valued at an estimated USD 1,910.4 million in 2023, which is expected to reach USD 2,773.3 million by 2030, progressing with a CAGR of 5.6% during 2024–2030. This is due to the increasing infrastructure investments in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors and growth in the tourism industry of the country.
It is also due to a sudden fall in demand, oil-dependent nations, such as the U.A.E., have witnessed a massive contraction in GDP, as the oil and gas industry contributes more than 30% to the country’s GDP.
Increasing investments in tourism-related projects, commercial infrastructure, and transportation development. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has opened the last two phases of roads leading to the Expo site, one of the biggest road projects undertaken by the RTA. These developments in the construction and real-estate sector are projected to propel the demand for HVAC systems in the country, during the forecast period.
To reduce energy consumption and strengthen sustainability, a large portion of customers in the country are turning to smart HVAC technologies. Smart HVAC systems offer better controls, building automation systems, advanced monitoring systems, internet of things (IoT)-enabled temperature controls, and smart thermostats. Smart HVAC systems also give better temperature variability and cleaner air as compared to older systems.
These systems enable users to monitor the real-time performance of the HVAC equipment and allow temperature modulation, flow rates, and capacity. In addition, smart systems produce less noise as compared to others.
A major advantage offered by smart HVAC systems is their ability to communicate information about their energy consumption, operation, and energy efficiency, which can be used by consumers, building managers, and energy grid managers to adjust the length of precooling or preheating periods before occupation and times for on and off operations. Thus, due to the increasing demand for more sophisticated and energy-efficient technologies in the U.A.E., the demand for smart HVAC systems is increasing in the country.
The growing hospitality industry in the U.A.E. is supporting the growth of the market. The growth of the hospitality industry can be primarily attributed to the increasing tourism in the country. The total contribution of tour and travel in 2022 is around AED 167 billion, which is around 9% of the total GDP of the U.A.E. Moreover, international visitors spent around 120 billion AED in 2023.
