India Residential Energy Storage Market Future Prospects
The Indian residential energy storage market will generate an estimated revenue of USD 28.3 million in 2024, which is expected to witness a CAGR of 27.7% during 2024–2030, to reach USD 122.8 million by 2030. The Government of India is greatly prompted by the large population and rapid urbanization to produce renewable energy, address environmental degradation, and attain self-sufficiency. This rising concern has led to significant growth in the residential energy storage market.
The Indian government has been implementing various schemes and regulations to achieve a better future. For instance, in January 2022, the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy launched a grid-connected rooftop solar (RTS) program. Under this, the ministry is providing a 40% subsidy for the up to 3 kW and a 20% subsidy above 3 kW and up to 10 kW.
