  • In January 2022, BASF SE announced plans to build a new hexamethylene diamine (HMD) plant in Chalampé, France. The new plant is set to increase BASF's annual HMD production capacity to 260,000 metric tons. Production is expected to start in 2024.
  • In April 2022, BASF-YPC, a 50–50 joint venture between BASF and Sinopec, announced plans to initiate capacity expansion at their Verbund site in Nanjing, China. The expansion includes the production capacities of ethyleneamines and a new tert-butyl acrylate plant.
  • In October 2019, Nouryon produced the first ethyleneamine products at its demonstration plant, deploying the new technology on an industrially relevant scale and marking the next step toward full commercialization.
  • In October 2021, Nouryon started production at a new manufacturing facility located in Ningbo, China, to meet the increasing demand in the Asian region for polymers from in the packaging, paints and coatings, and construction markets.
