China EV Powertrain Market Future Prospects
The Chinese EV powertrain market will generate an estimated revenue of USD 63.7 billion in 2024, which is expected to witness a CAGR of 18.2% during 2024–2030, to reach USD 174.0 billion by 2030. This is due to the rapid increase in the prices of fuel, the expansion in the market for and manufacturing of electric vehicles, and the stringent regulations imposed by the government to reduce pollution.
The EV powertrain is made up of several systems, including mechanical parts, batteries, and transmissions. These systems work together to transform electrical energy into mechanical energy, which provides motion to automobiles. China saw sales of 13.1 million new electric vehicles (EVs) in 2022, accounting for 4.1% of all vehicle sales, according to the Ministry of Public Security in China. Compared to the 7.84 million EVs sold in 2021, this was a 67.13% increase.
