Saudi Arabia LLDPE Market Future Prospects
The Saudi Arabian linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) market is estimated to stand at USD 1,605.0 million in 2024, and it is expected to witness a CAGR of 6.1% during 2024–2030, to reach USD 2,285.7 million by 2030. LLDPE usage is growing in the kingdom due to the booming construction, packaging, and many more end-use industries, rising need for catchy product advertisements, and surging rate of urbanization.
The packaging industry is driven by the rising demand of consumers for packaged food and the expanding e-commerce sector. Here, LLDPE is largely used in the production of flexible packaging and films.
In April 2023, the Ministry of Industry of the country partnered with a packaging company, Hotpack Packaging Industries LLC, to launch one of the largest food packaging projects in the kingdom. This project has proposed the manufacturing of a wide range of food items, which will be packed using recycled, biodegradable, and environment-friendly materials. The total investment in the project is USD 270 million (SAR 1 billion), with a timeline of around seven years.
