The flue gas refers to the gas leaving in to the atmosphere via flue. This flue is also called a channel or pipe, which carries exhaust gases from a boiler, fireplace, furnace, and oven. The flue gas also refers to the combustion exhaust gas produced at power plants. The flue gases basically arising from combustion mainly contains carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides, and nitrogen oxides. Generally, they pollute the environment and have negative effect on climate and health of human beings. To reduce emissions and optimize thermal processes, it is essential to design more efficient combustion processes. In the recent years, flue gas analyzers have become increasingly popular due to the tightening environmental regulations. Flue gas analyzers is a device that monitors the composition of flue gas of a boiler heating unit or furnace to determine, if the mixture of air and fuel is at the proper ratio for maximum heat output. Flue gas analyzer is also called a portable instrument, which is used for measuring carbon dioxide, oxygen, and carbon monoxide in the flue. The flue gas analyzer can be used in small furnaces, industrial applications, and maritime applications.
Based on the application, the flue gas analyzer market is divided into three broad segments that include small furnaces, industrial application, maritime application and others.
Geographically, North America and Europe dominates the global flue gas analyzer market, due to better industrialization. However, during the forecast period, the Asia-Pacific flue gas analyzer market is expected to grow at the fastest rate, which is driven by increasing number of factories and air pollution. Less stringent wages and increasing investment by many companies has propelled the number of factories in the Asia-Pacific. This would lead to air pollution, which is further expected to intensify the growth of global flue gas analyzer market.
Environmental protection is very important for protection of natural surrounding on individual, organizational, and governmental levels. The rapid industrialization and tightening environmental regulations are some of the major driving forces for the global flue gas analyzers market. The flue gas analyzer plays a vital role in the protection of biosphere from hazardous gaseous and increasing efficiency of the plant. Currently, the developing economies of India and China are witnessing rapid industrialization. In the current scenario, China is the world’s largest industrial producer. According to data published by the United Nations, in 2007, China’s total industrial production was only 62% of the U.S., which increased to 120% by 2011. According to the CIA World Factbook, China’s industrial production value was USD 3.7 trillion in 2012, while that of the U.S. stood at USD 2.9 trillion. The demand for flue gas analyzer is increasing, due to growing demand from the industrial sector and tightening environmental regulation in these regions.
The major companies operating in the global flue gas analyzer market include Testo AG, Kane International Limited, Endee-Engineers, Imr Environmental Equipment, Inc., Vasthi Engineers, Siemens, Labsol Enterprises, Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, MRU GmbH, KIMO, AFRISO-EURO-INDEX GmbH, Wuhan Tianhong Instruments, and Beijing SDL Technology.
